Presenting the policy program, Chief Minister Yamalal Kandel said that the 'One Local Level, One Agriculture School' program will be launched in coordination with the local level to increase public awareness about environment-friendly and organic agriculture. It is also stated that skills and employment in agriculture will be promoted through the 'Learning and Earning' program.
To develop a quality seed system, seed production areas will be expanded, climate-tolerant seeds will be promoted, community seed banks will be established and seed markets will be strengthened.
A policy has been taken to establish agricultural and livestock resource centers in potential districts according to geographical characteristics to make agricultural production sustainable, competitive and market-oriented. Through these centers, quality seeds, plants and livestock will be produced and supply will be ensured, and they will be developed as model learning centers.
