Eight illegal loaded guns have been recovered from three community forests in different parts of the district in six days.
The police have recovered eight loaded guns, including three from Siddhagufa Community Forest in Chaur, Kupinde Municipality-12, three from Basneura Community Forest, and two from Dandasalle Community Forest in Triveni Rural Municipality-5.
The loaded guns hidden in the community forest have been kept at the District Police Office, said Information Officer and Police Inspector Devraj Bhattarai. It is not clear who has kept the guns recovered based on confidential information. According to him, all the guns recovered are usable. The police suspect that the guns may have been hidden by wildlife poachers.
