The Karnali Corridor, which was blocked due to a dispute over the issue of a temporary police post under construction in the Lampata Chhyachaur area of Himali Rural Municipality-3, has been reopened after four hours. The agitation has been postponed after a five-point agreement was reached between the local parties and the government.

As per the agreement, a committee has been formed under the coordination of Sushil Dangol, Deputy Director General of the Survey Department, with one representative each from the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration, Karnali Province Government and Sudurpaschim Province Government.

Similarly, since an arrest warrant has been issued by the District Court Bajura in coordination with the Humla District Administration, it has been agreed that a police team will be mobilized from Humla to the relevant location for the arrest.

The recommendation to send an additional 25-member armed police team from Mahendranagar to establish a settlement in the Lampata Chhyachaur area of Himali Rural Municipality-3 has also been approved. In addition, it is reported that employees have been deployed from the Survey and Land Revenue Office to survey the on-site map of the Lampata Chhyachaur area.

Meanwhile, it has also been agreed that the Karnali provincial government will bear the treatment expenses of those injured in the clash over the construction of a temporary police post.
