The foundation stone of two road bridges has been laid in Jajarkot on the same day, and a trust bridge has been inaugurated. On Friday, Karnali Province Government's Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning Rajiv Bikram Shah laid the foundation stone of the Lamti Khola road concrete bridge connecting Chhedagar Municipality-10 and 11.

Similarly, the foundation stone of two Peepal road bridges connecting Shivalaya Rural Municipality-2 and 8 has also been laid. In addition, the Lamatada bridge connecting Chhedagar Municipality-6 and Junichande Rural Municipality-5 has been inaugurated.

The Peepal road bridge to be constructed in Shivalaya Rural Municipality will be 25 meters long. The contract for the bridge was signed on Baisakh 2 last year, and the completion date is set on Baisakh 2, 2085. The estimated cost of the bridge is Rs. 31.579 million. The responsibility for the construction of the bridge has been given to Bajrang Golres MBS JV Kathmandu.

Chief Administrative Officer of the rural municipality, Gopal Shahi, urged the construction company to complete the project on time and said that after the bridge is built, it will be easier for the citizens of Shivalaya as well as Chhedagar. Minister Shah said that these projects, which are seen as an important backbone for the construction of road infrastructure in West Jajarkot, are expected to provide easy access to the road network for the citizens of Shivalaya, Junichande, Chhedagar, and Kushe rural municipalities.

‘The support, participation, and ownership of development is equally necessary, as infrastructure development is directly linked to the lives of citizens, so monitoring and cooperation are necessary in development construction,’ he said.
