The Ministry of Home Affairs has formed a team under the coordination of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) on Sunday to investigate the facts of the incidents in Humla and Bajura.

The team was formed in a meeting held under the coordination of Home Ministry Secretary Rajkumar Shrestha in the presence of Defense Secretary Kedarnath Sharma and heads and representatives of all security agencies, said Anand Kafle, Joint Secretary and Spokesperson of the Ministry. According to him, the team has been instructed to immediately work at the work site and submit a report.

On Sunday itself, the government had formed a committee under the coordination of Sushil Dangol, Deputy Director General of the Survey Department, to study the technical aspects related to the borders of Bajura and Humla districts and submit a report. The decision to form the committee was taken at a meeting held at Singha Durbar on 10 Jestha 2083 under the chairmanship of Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration Pratibha Rawal.

The committee will have one representative each from the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration, as well as the Chief Minister's Office and the Council of Ministers of Karnali Province and Sudurpaschim Province. Similarly, the Director of the Survey Department has been given the responsibility of member-secretary of the committee.
