The first Karnali Tourism Festival has begun in Birendranagar from Friday. The organizers have stated that the three-day festival will include discussions and promotional activities on the tourism promotion and long-term prospects of Karnali Province.

Tourism entrepreneurs, investors, travel bloggers and stakeholders from Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Delhi in India are participating in the festival. Tourism entrepreneurs and representatives of tourism-related organizations from Lumbini and Sudurpaschim Provinces are also participating in the festival.

The festival is a joint initiative of the Nepal Tourism Board and Birendranagar Municipality, and a co-organizer of Dullu Municipality and Gurans Rural Municipality of Dailekh. The program is coordinated by the Federation of Hoteliers of Karnali Province.

According to the coordinator of the program, Tarka Bahadur Shahi, the goal is to promote the potential of Karnali's natural, religious, cultural and adventure tourism sectors at the national and international levels through the festival.
