Stating that the encroached houses and huts will cause problems in road expansion, the office has given 15 days to the concerned individuals and organizations to remove such structures themselves. The office has also warned that after 15 days, the office will recover the expenses incurred for removal.
The information officer of the division office, Engineer Ashok Chaudhary, said that the notice was issued to remove such structures as encroachment will hinder traffic operations and road expansion and there is a risk of accidents.
Road expansion, upgrading and blacktop work is underway on all three highways in Salyan. He said that there is no data on how many places have been encroached on all three highways so far.
