Karnali Province Chief Minister Yamalal Kandel has drawn the attention of Prime Minister Balendra Shah to the dispute in the border area of Humla and Bajura.
Chief Minister Kandel wrote a letter to Prime Minister Shah on Thursday, stating that tension has increased among locals due to the dispute that has arisen in the Lampata-Chhachaur area of Humla and the border area connected to Bajura in recent days.
He said that the border dispute has affected peace and security and the lives of the general public have been affected.
Chief Minister Kandel has stressed in the letter that the federal government should adopt necessary precautions to prevent the border dispute from becoming more complicated. Stating that the federal government should take immediate necessary initiatives for a long-term solution to the border problem, he has also requested the Prime Minister for necessary coordination and intervention.
