The second edition of the Karnali Youth Festival is set to begin on Saturday. The organizers have stated that the second edition of the Karnali Youth Festival is being organized with the aim of identifying the talent and developing the capabilities of the youth of Karnali Province.
The festival will be held at the premises of the City Hall in Birendranagar from Saturday (19 and 20 Baisakh). Binod Kumar Shahi, coordinator of the main organizing committee, informed that the second edition is being organized as a common platform for the youth of Karnali to highlight their strength, creativity and potential.
He said that the state's responsibility in the prosperity of Karnali, issues of people's representatives and youth, Karnali's place in the media, tourism, education and health will be discussed. Similarly, the festival will also discuss the art of oratory, the book Torkin written by Kshitij Samarpan and Paekelo written by Om Rijal.
Shahi said that the best 10 youth of Karnali who have done exemplary work in various fields of Karnali will be honored with the Karnali Youth Icon Award. The festival will feature Karnali's original Deuda games, musical and literary performances.
The organizers claim that after the success of the first edition held in Magh last year, the festival is being continued in a more sophisticated way this year. Consultant Bhupendra Jung Shahi said that the Karnali Youth Festival is an open platform that will give a place to the youth of Karnali. He emphasized that all the youth of Karnali should remember their own programs and collaborate.
Youth for Change, National Youth Council, Nation Building Forum Nepal, Playing for Change and Karnali Youth Foundation are the organizers and co-organizers of this festival.
