Raskot Municipality, which has become a model in education and health reform, has installed street lights and CCTV cameras in important places in the city. The municipality has installed street lights and CCTV cameras to reduce theft, robbery and violence at night.
Mayor Dharmaraj Shahi said that 30 street lights and 10 CCTV cameras have been installed with the aim of reducing criminal activities such as theft, robbery, quarrels and violence in the city. The Karnali Provincial Government has also decided to provide a budget of Rs 4.9 million to Raskot Municipality under the innovation program. Karnali Provincial Government Spokesperson Binod Kumar Shah said that funds have been allocated to Raskot to operate the digital municipality program.
