More than 24,000 students from Karnali are participating in the Secondary Education Pass Grade 12 examination to be conducted from Monday. The Provincial Examination Management Office of the board in Surkhet has stated that all preparations for the examination to be conducted by the National Examination Board have been completed. According to the office, 24,417 students from 8 districts of Karnali will participate this year. The office says that 90 examination centers have been set up for 296 schools in the eight districts. While the board's Dang office will look after Rukum West and Salyan, the management of examination centers in Surkhet, Dailekh, Jajarkot, Kalikot, Dolpa, Mugu, Jumla and Humla districts will be regulated and directed by the Provincial Examination Management Office in Surkhet.

He said that the highest number of students will participate this year, 8,111 from Surkhet and the lowest number of students will participate, 606 from Dolpa. According to him, this year there has been a decrease of about 7,000 students compared to last year.
Till last year, 31,000 students with the old course participated. He said that the number of students has decreased since the opportunity to take the exam from the old course has ended from this year. He said that 90 center heads, 180 assistant center heads, 612 inspectors, 90 employees, 180 support staff and 900 security personnel will be mobilized to conduct the exam.
The schedule for the Class 12 exam, which will be conducted till April 27, from 8 am to 11 am, has already been made public. He has also appealed to all stakeholders for cooperation and coordination to ensure that the examination is conducted in a dignified, orderly, peaceful and fear-free manner.
