The Krishi Bikas Bank Limited, Dolpa branch in the Himalayan district of Dolpa, has provided materials worth about two hundred thousand rupees for the Phoksundo Lake area. The bank has handed over desks, benches and dustbins to the Phoksundo Lake Conservation Committee in Rigmo, Shey-Phoksundo Rural Municipality-8. 

The branch has stated that nine iron desks, benches and four dustbins have been provided under the corporate social responsibility program.

Keeping in mind the increasing tourist traffic, the materials have been distributed with the aim of making it easy for visitors to sit and observe the beautiful lake and to help in cleanliness management, said Branch Manager Pradeep Pandey.

According to him, as the number of visitors to Phoksundo Lake, which is a unique boon of natural heritage, is increasing, assistance has been provided in the management of the necessary basic infrastructure.

The program was attended by the Chief of Karnali Province Office, Surkhet, Raju KC Shrestha, Province Chief Anoj Thalani and local stakeholders.

The program was attended by local stakeholders, representatives of the Conservation Committee and bank employees. It is stated that the materials will be managed through the received materials committee.

The Dolpa branch has achieved a significant increase in loan flow in the last one year, and branch chief Pandey informed that it is also expanding into digital banking transactions.
