The 16th district-level President's Running Shield competition organized in Kumalgaun, the center of Narharinath Rural Municipality, concluded on Thursday.

Tilagufa Municipality has come first in the competition that started on Baisakh 7. In the competition for 30 gold, 30 silver and 30 bronze medals, Tilagufa came first with 31 medals including 15 gold, 11 silver and 5 bronze. Palata Rural Municipality, which won 12 medals including 6 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze, came second. According to him, Pachaljharana Rural Municipality won 3 gold, 2 bronze, 5 medals, Mahabai Rural Municipality won 2 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze, Sannitriveni Rural Municipality won 1 gold, 1 silver, and 4 bronze, Khadachakra Municipality won 1 gold, 1 bronze, and 2 medals, Raskot Municipality won 2 silver, and 5 bronze medals, while Shubhakalika Rural Municipality could not win any medals.

From the competition in which players from all 9 local levels of the district participated, 32 players, including 17 students and 15 students, were selected for the provincial level Running Shield.
