The seriously injured are 64-year-old Ammar Singh Kunwar, 27-year-old Dammar Gharti, 30-year-old Janak Thapa, 49-year-old Bhupendra Kunwar, 30-year-old Bhul Bahadur Thapa, 56-year-old Jug Singh Pun, 28-year-old Narsingh Thapa, 38-year-old Karna Bahadur Thapa, 15-year-old Tilak Thapa and Kul Bahadur Rana of Bangad Kupinde Municipality-8 Thara. They have been referred to Nepalgunj.
According to Police Inspector Devraj Bhattarai, Information Officer of the District Police Office Salyan, Kul Bahadur Rana and Jug Singh Pun are being treated at the Neuro Hospital, Nepalgunj and the others are being treated at the Nursing Home. The condition of Kul Bahadur Rana and Jug Singh Pun is critical and the others are out of danger, Prani Bhattarai informed.
A jeep bearing the registration number L.P. 001 Ja 0271, which was carrying a wedding party from Thara, Bangad Kupinde Municipality-8, to Laxmipur, Kalimati Rural Municipality-1, met with an accident at Dhaire, Bangad Kupinde Municipality-12, at 5:30 pm on Saturday.
52-year-old Top Bahadur Thapa, 52-year-old Thage Gharti, 29-year-old Karna Bahadur Pun, and 30-year-old Man Bahadur Thapa of Thara were killed in the accident. 14 people were injured. All those seriously injured in the accident were immediately rescued and taken to Mehlakuna Hospital in Surkhet.
There were 18 people on board the jeep that lost control and crashed. The jeep fell about a hundred meters off the road.
