Three people were injured in a fire caused by a gas leak from a cylinder in Jajarkot.

The incident took place at around 10 am on Sunday in the kitchen of Thaluprasad Jaisi in Chhepka, Nalgad Municipality-2. The fire broke out when his wife, 42-year-old Maya, was lighting a fire with a lighter, according to the Jajarkot District Police Office.

Maya, her 22-year-old son Ganesh, and Maya's 37-year-old sister Rupa Jaisi were injured in the fire, said Police Inspector Ekka Bahadur Nepali of the Jajarkot District Police Office.

 

The injured are being treated at the Nalgad Nagar Hospital, and one is in critical condition, Nepali said. The fire has been brought under control and the necessary investigation into the incident is underway, according to the police.
