Police have arrested Naib Subba Niraj Pariyar, a deputy commissioner working at the District Administration Office, Salyan, on charges of cyber fraud.
Nasu Pariyar, an employee of the District Administration Office, Salyan, was arrested on Monday evening after office hours ended. He has been remanded for five days by the District Court and is being investigated, said DSP Dr. Hem Bahadur KC of the District Police Office, Salyan.
Pariyar had filed a complaint against Gen-G Salyan coordinator Yubaraj Khadga and others for trying to assassinate Pariyar by showing fake messenger conversations in which he had taken money while settling a case.
DSP KC said that Pariyar was arrested on Monday after being charged with cyber fraud and causing distress to the public.
