The District Examination Coordination Committee suspended two inspectors from Chhedagarh Primary School, Jhapra, Jajarkot, and one from the Tribhuvan Secondary School, Khalanga Center, Bheri Municipality, during the conduct of the compulsory science examination under the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) on Monday.

On Sunday, the committee had also taken action against 22 people, including 19 inspectors and 3 assistants, from 9 examination centers on the day of the compulsory mathematics examination. Similarly, 6 inspectors were removed on Friday on the day of the compulsory English examination.

In Jajarkot alone, 28 inspectors and 3 assistants have been taken action against irregularities in the SEE examination. To make the examination dignified, the Examination Coordination Committee has formed and mobilized monitoring teams of 2/2 people in each examination center, said the committee's coordinator and Chief District Officer Raju Prasad Poudel. According to him, the inspectors and assistants were taken action based on the team's recommendation.

‘They were taken action on charges of allowing students to use mobile phones in the exam, stealing cheats and helping to transport cheats,’ he said, ‘It was found that some of their close relatives were deployed at centers where they were candidates, making the exam irregular, and action has also been taken against them.’

Education Development and Coordination Unit Chief Yagya Shwar Khatri said that this year, to make the exam dignified, an exam center was set up elsewhere than the school where the students studied.

‘Even when the center was set up in another school, parents and relatives tended to come to steal cheats,’ he said, ‘We took action after the inspector helped in it and allowed them to use mobile phones inside the exam center.’ According to him, 4,813 students from 77 secondary schools are participating in the SEE exam this year in Jajarkot. 680 people have been mobilized.
