The house of Dal Bahadur BK of Kapurkot Rural Municipality-5 in Salyan, which was burnt down in a fire, has been rebuilt with collective support. The reconstruction began on Friday with the help of the local Sinduri Tole Development Organization, police and the rural municipality.
BK's house was completely destroyed in a fire on Thursday night. Kapurkot Rural Municipality Vice-Chairman Prakash Bhandari said that the reconstruction was started with collective support as the one-story thatched house was destroyed after it was burnt down.
He informed that the walls of the house that was destroyed by the fire have been demolished and cleaned. According to him, 10 people, including security personnel and locals, have been deployed for the work. After all the contents in the house were burnt down, the District Police Office, Salyan and Kapurkot Rural Municipality have provided rice, lentils, oil, sleeping mats and other materials, while local and outside donors have provided Rs 40,000.
The District Police Office, Salyan, has been helping poor families with weak financial conditions for the past and accordingly, it has helped in the reconstruction of BK's house, said Dr. Hem Bahadur KC, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Salyan District Police Office.
