The investigation into the death of 16-year-old Inisha BK, who died on Falgun 23, has not been completed yet. Four teams of Nepal Police, including the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB), are investigating the incident separately. However, the investigation has not been completed due to the lack of a forensic report. Due to this, Inisha's body has been at the Karnali Provincial Hospital for 16 days.

16-year-old Inisha, who had been living in Birendranagar-1 with her permanent home in Badakholi, Gurbhakot Municipality-6, was found unconscious in the Janajagaran Community Forest in Birendranagar-4 on Falgun 23. Although the police and locals rescued her and brought her to the provincial hospital, the doctors declared her dead. She was studying science in class 11 at Usha Balwatika Secondary School and had left home that day saying she was going to study tuition.

The District Police Office has arrested four minors on charges of involvement in the incident. Three of them are studying at Usha Balwatika Secondary School.

Following the incident, the family of the deceased had filed a complaint in the case of manslaughter and rape, alleging that the incident took place after gang rape. The police have stated that they are taking their statements from various angles. ‘The vaginal swabs and oral swabs of the deceased and the accused have been sent to the Central Forensic Science Laboratory for forensic examination. The swabs will have to be kept in a machine with chemicals for a few days and tested,’ said DSP Mohanjung Budthapa of the office. ‘Now, the investigation will reach a conclusion after the report comes within 1/2 days.’

The deceased’s father, Indra Bahadur BK, alleged that attempts were made to distort the incident in various ways and that the investigation is being delayed. ‘There was a gang rape and murder, we will not accept the body until strict action is taken against those involved in the incident,’ he said, ‘My daughter’s murder was planned, we want justice.’

According to the postmortem report, Inisha died due to excessive bleeding due to tearing of the internal part of the genitals. Forensic expert at Bheri Hospital Dr. Arbin Shakya said that the external and internal parts of the genitals were found to be torn during forced sexual intercourse. DSP Budhapa said that after the forensic report comes, the conclusion of the incident will be reached by comparing the postmortem report and the statements of the accused. According to him, a police team that conducts polygraphs is also investigating the incident. Polygraphs detect when a person is lying.

The 16-year-old boy who was arrested from the scene has given a statement to the police and said that they had sex after consulting each other and that after excessive bleeding, they called three other friends for help.

District Police Chief SP Sudhir Raj Shahi informed that the mobile phones of the deceased Inisha and the accused children, including electronic equipment, and other evidence found at the scene have been sent to the Central Forensic Science Laboratory and the investigation will be concluded after the report comes.
