Police have arrested three people who attacked an ambulance and its driver Basanta Sharma of Kumakh Rural Municipality in Salyan. The arrested are Pravin Gahatraj, 20, Bishal BK, 18, and Bishal BK, 19, of Bheriganga Municipality-11.
After consuming alcohol, the youths stopped the ambulance (Karnali Province 02.001Jha 0138) and its driver Sharma at around 10 pm on Friday night near Ramghat Bazaar in Surkhet and attacked them. The arrested three have been kept at the Area Police Office in Chhinchu and further investigation is underway, said Police Inspector Deepak Magrathi, Information Officer and Spokesperson of the District Police Office, Surkhet.
The driver Sharma was injured in the attack and the ambulance was damaged. The injured Sharma took the patient to Nepalgunj that night.
