Sarata Rokaya, a 21-year-old woman from Badimalika Municipality in Bajura, has been brought to the Provincial Hospital in Surkhet for further treatment.

She gave birth on Tuesday night and was referred to the Karnali Provincial Hospital in Surkhet after suffering from excessive bleeding, said Bajura Chief District Officer Dorendra Niraula.

She was rescued by helicopter after her health condition became complicated, said Chief District Officer Niraula. After a request to be taken to a well-equipped health institution as per the doctor's advice, she was brought to the Karnali Provincial Hospital in Surkhet by helicopter under the President's Women Upliftment Program.
