Vehicular movement has been affected after a culvert at Bhitti, on the border of Thulibheri Municipality and Tripurasundari Municipality in Dolpa, collapsed.

The bridge, which is part of the Bheri Corridor Road Project, collapsed on Saturday afternoon while a truck was moving.

Locals have said that there is a problem in the operation of vehicles on the road section after the bridge collapsed. The main road connecting the district headquarters of Dolpa has become blocked after the bridge was damaged. Passengers and transport vehicles are facing problems due to the lack of alternative arrangements.

Chief District Officer Junu Hamal said that she has instructed the concerned bodies to make necessary arrangements to facilitate traffic movement in the area where the bridge collapsed.  According to her, preparations are being made to assess the condition of the damaged bridge and move forward with the repair process.

Locals have expressed concern that the repair work has not started even two days after the bridge collapsed, causing problems in the movement of vehicles.
