The health condition of the baby she gave birth to is normal. However, Asmita was rescued by a helicopter after her health condition became complicated, informed Chief District Officer Deepak Poudel. She was undergoing treatment in the ICU of the institute after complications arose during the delivery and her health did not improve.
After the doctor said that she should be taken to a better-equipped health facility immediately, she was taken to Karnali Provincial Hospital, Surkhet by helicopter under the President's Women Upliftment Program.
Kamal Thani, Director of the Karnali Institute of Health Sciences Teaching Hospital, Jumla, said that the patient was referred because her condition was complicated. According to him, the patient also has problems with her kidneys and lungs.
