It has been 6 days since the rape and murder of 16-year-old Inisha BK. The family and relatives of Inisha, who was studying in grade 11 at Usha Balwatika School in Surkhet, have refused to accept the body, saying it was gang-raped. Her body has been kept at the morgue of the provincial hospital.

At 8:25, I called my close friends and told them about my problem, but they refused to come. After calling them several times, 3 friends came. When Inisha did not speak, the friends went to the village near the forest to inform the locals. The villagers informed the police at around 9:45 after arriving.

It was already 10 o'clock when the police arrived and took her to the hospital.

On the 23rd, Inisha and a 16-year-old teenager from Surkhet who was studying with him were seen walking holding hands in the Janajagaran Community Forest in Birendranagar in CCTV footage.

DSP Mohanjung Budthapa, spokesperson of the District Police Office, Surkhet, said that four people, including a 16-year-old teenager who was said to be his lover, were arrested and a case of rape and manslaughter was registered and further investigation has begun. ‘When we reached the spot, Inisha had no clothes on her body,’ he said, ‘Inisha’s body was soaked with blood, she was unconscious. She died because she could not be taken to the hospital on time. We were also late in getting the news.’

When her daughter, who left at 6 am, did not return home by 9 am, her mother Tila Bik said that she had already called all her tutoring friends. At 10 am, the police informed her that Inisha was unconscious in the community forest, and she rushed to the place where her daughter was. ‘When I reached the spot, her daughter had no clothes on her body, her lower part was completely soaked in blood. There were injuries on her body,’ she said, ‘My daughter was gang-raped and murdered, we will not accept the body if we do not get justice.’
