In the counting of votes for members of the House of Representatives held on Thursday, RPP's Gyan Bahadur Shahi has maintained his lead in Jumla. When 5,059 votes were counted in Kanakasundari Rural Municipality, he led with 2,691 votes.
Here, Nepali Communist Party's Naresh Bhandari has received 1,233 votes. In the initial counting of votes, Shahi has a lead of 1,458 votes in this area. Here, Congress has received 605 votes, UML has received 281 votes and RSPB has received 36 votes.
The counting of votes in six rural municipalities including one municipality is yet to be done, according to the office of the Election Officer, Jumla.
