It is expected that the results of the House of Representatives elections held in Mugu on Thursday will be delayed. The counting of votes will begin only tomorrow as it will take time to transport the ballot boxes.
Mugu Chief District Officer Khadananda Khatri informed that the counting of votes will begin only tomorrow as it will take time to transport the ballot boxes due to geographical remoteness.
According to him, out of 70 polling stations, only 43 ballot boxes have reached the office of the Chief Electoral Officer so far, while ballot boxes from 26 places will reach the district headquarters today and two places tomorrow.
He said that the counting of votes will be delayed as it will take two days to reach the district headquarters by walking from some polling stations that are not connected to the road network.
