Ballot boxes from 75 polling stations in Mugu, Dolpa and Humla have not been brought to the district headquarters. A helicopter is going to be used on Friday morning to take the ballot boxes from those polling stations to the office of the Chief Electoral Officer in the district headquarters.
On Thursday, only the ballot box from Halji polling station in Namkha Rural Municipality of Humla has been brought to the district headquarters by helicopter. The Provincial Police Office has stated that ballot boxes from three more polling stations in Humla are yet to be brought to the district headquarters by helicopter. According to Provincial Police Spokesperson SSP Ram Prakash Shah, ballot boxes from 23 polling stations in Dolpa will also be brought by helicopter.
On Thursday, an election employee who was stranded in Dolpa was rescued by helicopter. ‘The helicopter was in trouble, the wind also prevented it from reaching some places yesterday,’ he said, ‘The ballot boxes that could not be collected since Friday morning will be brought to the district headquarters.’
Ballot boxes have been delivered to 40 polling stations in Mugu, while 27 are still to be delivered. Similarly, two ballot boxes have been delivered to 38 polling stations in Dolpa, while 30 are yet to be delivered. Similarly, 18 out of 42 polling stations in Humla have been delivered, according to the Provincial Police Office.
52.9 percent voting has been recorded in Karnali. Out of 1 million 48 thousand 138 voters across the province, 5 lakh 54 thousand 341 people voted. 9 hundred and forty-one polling stations were set up in Karnali, which has 12 constituencies.
According to the Provincial Police Office, the ballot boxes of all polling stations in Surkhet, Dailekh, Jajarkot, Salyan, Rukum West, Kalikot and Jumla have reached the counting center. Counting has already begun in Kalikot, while preparations have begun in other districts.
