The voter turnout in Karnali Province has reached 52.5 percent. The Provincial Election Office has stated that out of 1 million 48 thousand 138 voters in Karnali for the election of members of the House of Representatives, 549 thousand 809 votes were cast. According to the office, there were 941 polling stations across the province.
The office stated that 2 lakh 98 thousand 208 women, 2 lakh 51 thousand 599 men and 2 other voters voted in Karnali.
According to the office, no untoward incident occurred in Karnali during the voting period. According to Provincial Election Officer Lal Bahadur Gurung, the voter turnout was 53.19 percent in Surkhet 1, 55.97 in Surkhet 2, 49.35 in Dailekh 1 and 43.1 percent in Dailekh 2.
According to him, 56.14 percent voting was recorded in Jajarkot, 44.40 in Salyan, 57.97 in Rukum West, 48.62 in Kalikot, 56.04 in Jumla, 58.90 in Mugu, 63.14 in Dolpa, and 52.5 percent in Humla.
Provincial Election Officer Gurung informed that the ballot boxes have been brought to the office of the Chief Election Officer.
