Staff and election materials have not yet been delivered to 12 of the 23 polling stations in Upper Dolpa. One helicopter was used on Saturday and two on Sunday, but the election materials could not be delivered.
According to Chief District Officer Junu Hamal, a total of 11 flights have been made for Upper Dolpa, one on Saturday and 10 on Sunday.
‘Staff and necessary materials have been sent to all 6 polling stations in Dolpobuddha Rural Municipality. They were sent to Phu Village, Phot Village, Bijher, and Nijal of She-Phoksundo Rural Municipality today. Some polling stations in She-Phoksundo Rural Municipality and all 6 polling stations in Charkatangsong Rural Municipality could not be sent,’ Hamal said, ‘Election materials and staff are still to be sent to 12 polling stations in two municipalities.’ The plan is to complete the remaining ones by Monday or Tuesday.'
He said that despite flying since early morning, the winds in Dolpa will start to pick up speed after 2 pm, so all the flights will not be able to be completed on Sunday.
If it is not possible to reach them by helicopter, the plan is to send them on foot to the polling stations in the lower part of Shey-Phoksundo rural municipality.
It is said that one of the two helicopters in Dolpa to transport election materials and staff to Upper Dolpa has already returned.
The Chief Electoral Officer's Office has stated that the process of sending election materials and staff to the polling stations in the six municipalities in Lower Dolpa is ongoing.

Dolpa, which has only one constituency for the House of Representatives, has a total of 24,115 voters. Of these, 12,187 are women and 11,928 are men.
Six candidates are in the fray for the upcoming Falgun 21 election.
In Dolpa, Dhan Bahadur Budha from the Nepali Communist Party, Lanka Bahadur Rokaya from the NCP-UML, Karna Bahadur Budha from the Nepali Congress, Dev Singh Aidi from the National Independent Party, and Omendra Bahadur KC from the Independent have entered the election.
Progressive Democratic Party candidate Bikash Budha has already coordinated to support the UML. Similarly, Ujjale Nepal Party candidate Dil Bahadur Bista and Miteri Nepal Party candidate Junu Bhandari have already joined the Congress.
