In preparation for the upcoming elections to be held on February 21, a model voting exercise has been conducted in the district headquarters of Manma for polling officers and assistant polling officers who will be deployed in the elections.
A mock voting exercise was conducted in an open field in front of the District Coordination Committee on Wednesday with the aim of informing about the precautions and preparations to be taken in the election.
Chief Election Officer Kul Prasad Dahal said that 254 people, including 127 polling officers and 127 assistant polling officers, who will be deployed in the election, underwent mock voting after training. ‘The mock voting has made the new polling officers very comfortable,’ he said, ‘The preparations to be made before the election, the precautions to be taken during the election, and the method of sealing the ballot boxes after the election were demonstrated.’
Chief District Officer Gokarna Raj Suyal said that the election team was made clear through mock voting on issues including the mobilization of employees, security personnel, and volunteers to be deployed by polling officers during the election and the security of ballot boxes and ballot papers.
District Election Officer Bishwa Mangal Sharma informed that a total of 2,000 security personnel and 700 employees have been deployed in Kalikot for the election.
