The body of Pushpa Singh, 21, of Baruwa, Tulsipur Sub-metropolitan City-6, Dang, who went missing after jumping from a bridge over the Bheri River near Sallibazar, has been found. Her body was found on Thursday, the seventh day after she went missing.
Her body was found near Pokharen in Surkhet, 20 kilometers downstream from the incident site. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police of the District Police Office, Salyan, Dr. Hem Bahadur KC, Pushpa's body was found while being pulled by a local in Bheri after she got entangled in a net while fishing. He informed that Pushpa's body has now been taken to Surkhet Hospital for a postmortem.
According to her, she had come to Maitighar Bangad, Kupinde Municipality-6, Sunauli, with her husband three weeks after her marriage, and had jumped into the Bheri River from the bridge last Friday while taking a photo near Sallibazar. Her husband was also with her when she took the photo on the bridge. A diving team of the Armed Police Force searched for Pushpa, who went missing, for two days.
