Election police have been deployed in the Surkhet constituency. The election police, recruited to secure the House of Representatives elections to be held on 21 Falgun, have been deployed at polling stations and polling stations.

1,628 election police have been deployed to the constituencies, informed Mohan Jung Budhapa, spokesperson (DSP) of the District Police Office, Surkhet. 1,840 election police were recruited in Surkhet, which has two constituencies directly opposite the House of Representatives. 

The election police have been deployed under the control of more than 35 police units under the two constituencies. According to Budhapa, the election police will assist in the necessary preparations before the election and will be deployed in the first security perimeter on the day of voting.

He said that the security personnel, election officers, and employees deployed for election security will reach the respective polling stations on 18 Falgun with the necessary materials. 

According to him, 900 more police personnel will be deployed in both constituencies, while the Armed Police Force and the Nepal Army will be deployed as needed.

There are 302 polling stations in 140 polling stations in the two constituencies of the district. There are 72 polling stations and 148 polling stations in constituency number 1, while there are 68 polling stations and 154 polling stations in constituency number 2.

In the upcoming election, 30 candidates, 13 from Surkhet-1 and 17 from Surkhet-2, are in the election race for two positions.
