Shah, who lived in Ward No. 7 of Dullu Municipality, passed away at the age of 76 in Dullu.

According to Dullu Municipality Mayor Bharat Rijal, Shah had been suffering from asthma for a long time. He said that the residents of the municipality are saddened by Shah's death.
'Shah was not only the heroine of the Dullu rebellion,' he said, 'We considered her as the main guardian of Dullu Municipality. Many of the works she did in the society are worth remembering.'
