The driver of a Bolero jeep has died and three others have been injured in an accident in Salyan.
The jeep (Ga 1 Ja 5661) heading from Rukum East to Tulsipur in Dang met with an accident on Wednesday morning at Chorkhola in Kapurkot Rural Municipality 3 along the Rapti Highway. The driver, Vijay Bishwakarma, 30, of Sisne Rural Municipality 4, Amlachaur, Rukumpur, died on the spot.
Susmi Roka, 22, of Sisne Rural Municipality 2, Rukum East, her daughter Sukhatha KC, 2, and Lalita KC, 38, of Sisne Rural Municipality 4, who were injured in the jeep accident, were taken to the provincial hospital in Tulsipur for further treatment after receiving general treatment at the basic hospital in Kapurkot, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Dr. Hem Bahadur KC, Chief of the District Police Office, Salyan.
According to him, the jeep that crashed due to uncontrolled movement fell 400 meters off the road. There were four people in the jeep.
