Police have taken 12 fake examinees into custody. Surkhet Police has stated that fake examinees who participated in the written examination for Police Constable (District) conducted by the Public Service Commission Surkhet Office have been taken into custody.

DSP Mohan Jung Budhapa, spokesperson of the District Police Office, Surkhet, informed that those who took the exam in the name of others for financial gain have been arrested. He said that they participated in the exam by forging their citizenship and admit cards by changing their photo signatures. Spokesperson Budhapa said that an investigation is underway against them for the crime of forging documents and criminal gain.

Those arrested are Keshav Thapa, 19, of Chhedagar Municipality-11, Jajarkot, Ramesh Nepali, 18, of Dullu Municipality-1, Dailekh, and Bir Bahadur Thada, 24, of Gurbhakot Municipality-13, Surkhet. 

Similarly, Bipesh Singh, 19, of Kushe Rural Municipality-2, Jajarkot, Lalit Rawal, 18, of Junichande Rural Municipality-1, Surya Kiran, 18, of Kushe-2, and Niraj Shahi, 21, have been taken into custody, DSP Budhapa said. According to him, 19-year-old Chandra Shah of Chhedagar Municipality-10, 23-year-old Nawaraj BK of Kushe-2, and 24-year-old Ramu Karki of Baijanath Rural Municipality-2 of Banke have also been arrested while they were giving exams to others.

Similarly, 25-year-old Motilal Tharu of Baijanath-1 and 26-year-old Purna Bahadur Singh of Kushe and Birendranagar have been taken into custody by the police as accomplices.
