The Nepali Communist Party (NCP) Rukum West has made public its 'resolution' for the upcoming House of Representatives elections. It held a press conference at the district headquarters, Musikot Municipality-5, Serigaun, and made its commitments public on various issues.

The resolution presented by the Election Mobilization Committee Coordinator Basanta Sharma in the presence of the NCP candidate for Rukum West, Gopal Sharma, has set the main slogan as 'Education, Health, Employment and Infrastructure, the Basis of Self-reliant Rukum West'.

The NCP has resolved to work in five areas: road infrastructure, social development, economic development, institutional development and good governance, and forest, environment and disaster management. Stating that this time the commitment has been made according to the title in the 5-page 'resolution', Election Mobilization Committee Coordinator Sharma said that the work to be done in the coming days will be based on this.

'In a few days, the center will make the manifesto public by adding the needs and context of the entire country,' Sharma said, 'It has been prepared keeping in mind the local demands and needs. It will be amended and revised as necessary and moved forward.'

Informing that the election campaign program has been started from Musikot Municipality, candidate Gopal Sharma said that he will reach all the remaining wards and toles in the coming days to explain the issues of this 'resolution-paper' and seek votes. 'Without any fuss, we are reaching out directly to the voters. We will move forward with a review of the past and a plan for the future. We will reach the doorsteps of as many voters as possible.'

As the election date of Falgun 21 approaches, parties and candidates have been intensifying their election campaign activities. A total of 12 parties have put forward their candidates in Rukum West, which has a single constituency.
