A woman in labor has been rescued by helicopter from the mountainous district of Dolpa. Bishnukumari Dangi, 30, of Thulibheri Municipality-9, who was in critical condition due to a stuck umbilical cord, was rescued by a Nepal Army helicopter on Wednesday.

At the initiative of Dolpa Chief District Officer Junu Dhakal, Dangi was rescued through the Presidential Air Rescue Program and sent to the Provincial Hospital in Surkhet for further treatment.
