Snowfall has resumed in districts under Karnali Province. Heavy snowfall has started in the mountainous districts of Dolpa, Humla, Mugu and other places since last night.

Not even a week after the previous snowfall, Manram Thakulla, ward chairman of Thulibheri Municipality-8, said that snowfall has started again in Dolpa.

He said that this year there has been more frequent and heavy snowfall than in previous years. Ward chairman Thakulla said that the villages and hills looked very beautiful after the snow covered them.

Similarly, local youth Kamal Nepali informed that snowfall started in Jagadulla Rural Municipality since early morning. He said that since the snowfall is still continuing, there is a possibility of it falling throughout the day.

It is said that snowfall is continuing in Dolpo Buddha, Shey-Phoksundo and Charkatangso Rural Municipality in Upper Dolpa.

The temperature has dropped to minus after the snowfall, and the people have said that their lives have become difficult.

Due to the thick snow on the runway, airports such as Jufal in Dolpa and Simikot in Humla have also been disrupted, and domestic flights have been affected.

The snowfall in the space of a week has brought joy to Dolpali farmers, saying that the first crops planted in the fields will flourish.

Snow with rain is said to be good for crops including wheat, barley, and yam.
