Amar Singh Pun, who had filed his candidacy as an independent candidate from Rukum East for the House of Representatives election, has withdrawn his candidacy.

The Chief Electoral Officer's Office, Rukum East, has removed his name and published the final list of the remaining 11 candidates.


In Rukum East, which has only one constituency, 11 candidates have been confirmed, including Nepali Communist Party (NCP) coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

According to Assistant Electoral Officer, Ishwari Prasad Subedi, along with Dahal from the NCP, Kusumdevi Thapa Magar from the Nepali Congress, Leelamani Gautam from the UML, Lakhan Kumar Thapa from the National Independent Party, and Sandeep Pun from the Progressive Democratic Party, Jyoti Roka Magar from the Mongol National Organization, Dharma Kumar Budha from the National Republic Nepal, Sheer Bahadur Budha from the Janata Samajwadi Party, Roshan Shah from the RPP, and Juddha Bahadur Budha Magar from the CPN-Maoist are certain to contest the election.
