Six people from the same municipality in Salyan have filed their candidacies for the House of Representatives elections to be held on February 21.
Four political parties and two independents have filed their candidacies from Sharda Municipality.
The candidates are Santosh Kumar Rai of Sharda-3 from the Progressive Democratic Party, Mansinge Kami of Ward-1 from the Aam Janata Party, Kalidas BK of Ward-15 from the Samyukta Nagarik Party, and Kamala Dangi of Ward-12 from the Rastriya Janamorcha.
Dhruvraj Wali of Sharda-1 and Juddha Bahadur Singh of Ward-3 have filed their candidacies as independent candidates. Kamala Dangi, Dhrubraj Wali, and Juddha Bahadur Singh are under the age of 35.
16 people, including two women, filed their candidacies in the district on Tuesday for the House of Representatives elections. While two candidates from the UML and the RPP are old candidates, all the others are new.
Independent candidate Dhruvraj Wali, who has been living outside the district for studies and employment, has said that he has filed his candidacy to make the district known nationwide and to end the increasing corruption in recent times.
He said that no matter what the election results are, he will continue to work to make the district known and end the corruption. Kamala Dangi of the National Janamorcha said that she has filed her candidacy to raise her voice for the rights and interests of women who have been subjected to injustice.
