Police have recovered six loaded guns hidden in a community forest.

Police have recovered a loaded gun hidden in the Shanti Community Forest in Triveni Rural Municipality-5.

One of the guns recovered was loaded with ammunition. The locals may have hidden the loaded gun in the forest fearing that it would be discovered if they kept it at home while hunting, said DSP Hem Bahadur KC of the Salyan District Police. According to him, 31 loaded guns have been recovered in the past month.

He said that the government has directed to search for illegal weapons, saying that they could be used during the election.
