A harmony rally has been organized in Manma to maintain the social harmony that was disrupted after the Gen-G movement.

As per the decision of the all-party meeting held in the district administration on Saturday, a goodwill rally was organized in the market on Sunday morning.

On the occasion of Prithvi Jayanti and National Unity Day, a goodwill rally was organized from Zero Point of Manma Bazaar to Yogi Narharinath Chowk to give the message of 'Himaal, Pahad, Terai, no one is a stranger', said Prajapati Gokarna Raj Suyal.

Prajapati Suyal said that the goodwill rally is expected to be useful in creating an environment for the election. He said that the rally will help connect the divided hearts to make the House of Representatives election on Falgun 21 dignified and fearless.

According to him, this is the first time since the Gen-G movement that all political parties, civil society, government and non-government bodies, security personnel, etc. have participated in the rally. UML Deputy Secretary Pavitra Kumar Shahi said that the religious, cultural, social and ethnic goodwill rally has helped all parties to unite.

Assistant District Officer Janak Sharma said that a district-level peace and social harmony committee has been formed as per the circular of the Ministry of Home Affairs. According to him, the committee includes district security chiefs, representatives of all political parties in the district, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the chairperson of the district bar, and leaders from the social, cultural and religious sectors.
