UML Kalikot has recommended three people, including central member Nagindra Shahi, for the House of Representatives elections to be held on February 21.
A meeting of party central members, provincial members and district committee chairmen, deputy secretaries and other office bearers held in Kathmandu recommended youth leader Nagindra, UML provincial committee member Sita Shahi and youth association central leader Vakil Bam.
UML Kalikot deputy secretary and publicity department chief Pavitra Kumar Shahi said that the names of the three candidates were recommended by balancing the region, caste and youth and women. ‘The discussion took 3 days as there were many aspirants,’ he said, ‘Finally, it was decided to recommend all three youths with everyone’s consent.’
UML district chair Tularaj Malla said that the names of the three people were sent unanimously with everyone’s consent. The UML Kalikot meeting for the candidate recommendation lasted for 3 days.
