UML Jumla has recommended the single name of Shantilal Mahat for the upcoming House of Representatives elections to be held on Falgun 21.
The District Secretariat Committee Jumla meeting on Sunday decided to recommend Mahat, who is also the chairman of UML Jumla, as a single candidate. UML Jumla Secretary Man Bahadur Rokaya informed that Mahat was recommended as a unanimous candidate.
Most of those who spoke at the meeting were of the opinion that a single recommendation should be made to unite the party and spread the message of unity in the district. Chairman Mahat expressed his happiness that the party District Secretariat Committee meeting had given him additional responsibility by making a single recommendation. He said that everyone's cooperation and support should ensure UML's victory.
Although it was said that more than half a dozen aspirants were previously aspirants, the UML Jumla concluded that the recommendation being a single candidate has been able to spread a happy message. Mahat, who was recommended as a single candidate, was elected as the district chairman from the eighth and ninth district conventions.
