The winter session of the Karnali Provincial Assembly is to be conducted from the Information Technology Room. The meeting of the winter session, which will be held from Magh 21, will be held in the Information Technology Room located on the premises of the assembly. The Karnali Provincial Assembly building was destroyed in an arson attack during a protest against Genji on Bhadra 24.

Earlier, the Provincial Assembly used to hold information briefings for journalists in the Information Technology Room. Now, the work of repairing and painting this room for conducting meetings has started. The Provincial Assembly Secretariat has stated that the Information Technology Room is being used temporarily for the winter session to be convened by Magh 21.

Since the extensive damage to the assembly could not be done immediately, a temporary structure is being prepared for conducting meetings. Information Officer Rajendra Poudel informed that a working meeting room is being built. He said that the goal is to complete the repair work of the temporary Provincial Assembly meeting venue and other structures by the last week of Poush. Similarly, the office of the officials and the meeting places of the thematic committees have also been repaired and painted.

The information technology room was also damaged, but since other places were not suitable from a security perspective, the room inside the premises is being used, Poudel said.
