Four government offices are providing services from a single building built in the middle of Khalanga, the district headquarters of Jumla. Four government offices are running services from an integrated building constructed by the Office of Intensive Urban Development and Building Construction Project.

The service recipients have become more comfortable after four government offices started providing services from a single building. Earlier, the service recipients used to suffer when the offices were spread out in rented houses.

Now, the Election Office is on the first floor of the building, the National Statistics Office on the second, the Karnali Province Branch Office of the National Human Rights Commission on the third floor, and the Industry and Consumer Protection Office on the fourth and fifth floors.

The offices have started providing services as per the decision of the District Administration Office, Jumla. Not only has it become easier to provide services from a single building, but the financial burden on the state has also been reduced.

Mandir Nath Yogi, Chief of the Industry and Consumer Protection Office, Jumla, said that the monthly expenditure of 33 thousand rupees has been stopped after moving to the integrated building. Chief Yogi said, ‘We had to pay rent of five lakh rupees every spring.’ That expense was stopped.'

The statistics office was providing services by renting a private house for Rs 40,000 per month. Acting office chief Vastaraj Rajoure said that even though there are problems with drinking water and electricity in the new building, the state has sold Rs 500,000 to Rs 600,000 even after the office was moved. According to him, the annual rent of Rs 300,000 has been saved from the four offices that started services in the integrated building.

District Coordination Committee Jumla chief Gaurinanda Acharya said that the decision regarding the operation of the integrated building was already made on Kartik 3, 2075 BS. The meeting had decided to have five offices: the Transport Management Office, the District Government Attorney's Office, the Election Office, the National Statistics Office, and the Industry and Consumer Protection Office. 'The designated offices have now moved,' said chief Acharya. 'The District Government Attorney's Office did not want to move because it has its own building.' The National Human Rights Commission Karnali Province Branch Office has started providing services as per the decision of the District Administration Office. He said that it is not appropriate to rent out the offices after the building is completed.

According to the Intensive Urban Development and Building Construction Project, the estimated cost of the building was Rs 85,729,991.33, but the contract for the construction of the building was agreed at Rs 64,996,999. So far, Rs 55,868,976.45 has been paid, said the office's information officer Chandra Bahadur Khadka.

Service recipients informed that the service flow has become easier after four offices started providing services in the same building near the District Administration Office.
