South Asian Scholars Academy Surkhet has received ISO 21001. South Asian Scholars Academy is the first school in western Nepal to receive this title from Green Beach University, London.
Representatives of the International Management System Standards (IMOS) reached Surkhet and handed over the 21001 certificate to the school at a program organized on Friday.
School Principal Chhatra Badhuwal said that the ISO certificate was obtained after fulfilling all the EMOS criteria. He said, ‘We have obtained this title due to quality education, excellent management and results.’
He said that ISO has inspired them to increase the quality of educational services, improve the relationship between students, teachers and administrators, increase the credibility of the school, encourage inclusive and equitable education and innovation and long-term success.
The school, which teaches up to grade 12, has 2,700 students and 186 teachers and staff. The school has succeeded in taking the educational sector of Karnali Province and Nepal to an international level by obtaining the ISO, said Prof. Dr. Shobhakhar Kandel, Registrar of Madhya Paschim University.
School President Ganesh Adhikari said that they will continue to protect the dignity of the ISO and take it forward as an excellent educational institution.
