Karnali Chief Minister Yamalal Kandel has said that he does not have much hope from the government formed in the name of Gen-G movement. At a provincial security seminar being held in Birendranagar, the capital of Karnali province, Chief Minister Kandel said that he does not have much hope from the government formed in the name of Gen-G as Nepal's constitution is currently in a semi-defunct state.

‘Any decision can be made based on the government’s propaganda?’, he asked the Home Minister who was present at the program, ‘How is it possible to hold the upcoming election date of Falgun 21 and the 10th National Sports Competition in Karnali at the same time? Can elections be held in remote districts of Karnali at this time? How many challenges are there in terms of security, don’t you see?’

Stating that after Bhadra 23 and 24, he saw psychological fear not only among citizens but also among security personnel, Chief Minister Kandel said that the Gen-G generation started Bhadra 23 with a sacred purpose and kept it after demanding good governance and control of corruption. But after the situation of chaos and chaos arose on Bhadra 24, he said that a negative feeling has arisen in the society and serious questions have been raised about the security system.

He said that at this time, hatred is being spread towards the country’s major political parties and top leaders. ‘A certain group of people in the name of Gen-G is creating pressure on the local police administration. Even if it is not expressed by the security chiefs, there is no environment to work freely and fearlessly in a fearless environment,’ he said. ‘Citizens are afraid that when will the stolen weapons and escaped prisoners take revenge and kill someone. If there is any inconvenience while carrying out a political program in the village, there is a doubt that the police administration will reach out for their own safety.’

He objected to the setting of seat limits for the party chairmen and former Prime Ministers of the country’s major parties, asserting that in such a situation, there will not be an environment for holding elections on Falgun 21.
