A child has died after falling while going to school from home in Malkot, Narharinath-6, Kalikot.
Ayush Bishwakarma, a 14-year-old boy studying in class-8 at Nandadevi Secondary School, Serapata, died after falling from his home on Thursday morning, said Police Inspector Ganesh Gyawali of the District Police Office, Kalikot.
'He was walking from home to school around 8:30 am,' said Police Inspector Gyawali, who returned from the scene, 'He slipped and fell on a stone and died.'
According to him, it is believed that Bishwakarma, who had left home at 8:30 am to study tuition from 9 to 10 am and to study in class from 10 am, was holding a book with one hand and keeping the other hand in his pocket due to the cold when he fell.
He has injuries to his head and chin.
