Two jeeps under police control

Police have seized two passenger jeeps in Salyan. The jeeps, bearing the numbers Ko 1 Ja 2719 and Lu 1 Ja 1171, which were being illegally operated using stolen vehicle engines and other components, were seized by the police from Sharda Municipality-1, Srinagar, in the district on Wednesday.

According to Hem Bahadur KC, the police chief and deputy superintendent of police of the District Police Office, Salyan, both  jeeps belong to Aituram Oli. He informed that the jeeps were taken into custody while they were hidden at home. 

Police chief KC said that the seizure was made after it was discovered that the vehicle had been operated using stolen vehicle parts in the past. He informed that the police had already seized four passenger jeeps before this and sent them for auction.

According to him, the documents of the seized jeeps have been requested, but the vehicle owners have not been able to submit them yet. He said that the seized jeeps will be sent for auction.
